Baskonia, the Iberian organizer for WESG's Iberian qualifier, has announced it will hold an offline qualifier in November ahead of the Europe & CIS Regional Finals which will be held in Barcelona. The qualifier will have an offline portion which will take place on October 27-29 and will lead to the offline finals which will take place in Alava in November. The registration process for the WESG Iberia qualifier can be found here and will remain open until October 20. Baskonia, best known for its Liga ACB and EuroLeague basketball team, will hold the event at the team's home court, the Fernando Buesa Arena, in the Basque town of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The best team in the Iberian qualifier will clinch a spot at the WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals, slated to kick-off on November 22 in Barcelona and which will, in turn, warrant 12 tickets to the World Finals in China, where a $1,5 million prize pool awaits. |
